Two Arrested Following Burglary Investigation in Weymouth
Officers from the Weymouth and Portland Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) arrested two individuals last night as part of an ongoing investigation into burglary-related offences in the local area.
Following the arrests, officers conducted a search at a nearby address. During this search, a significant number of items were recovered which police believe may be stolen property. These items have since been seized and are currently being securely stored at Weymouth Police Station while further enquiries are carried out.

Police are now appealing to members of the public for assistance in identifying the rightful owners of the recovered items. If you have recently been a victim of burglary, or if you recognise any property that may belong to you or someone you know, officers would like to hear from you.
Dedicated officers are available today to carry out further enquiries and to follow up on information received, while the two individuals arrested remain in police custody. This proactive approach aims to return stolen property to its owners as quickly as possible and to provide reassurance to the local community.
Anyone with information that may assist the investigation is asked to contact police by calling 101 and quoting reference number 55260004230.
The Weymouth and Portland Neighbourhood Policing Team remains committed to tackling burglary and keeping local communities safe. Further updates will be provided when appropriate.
