APPEAL: Witnesses sought following racially aggravated incident on Weymouth bus
Officers from Dorset Police are continuing to investigate a report of a racially aggravated public order offence on a bus in Weymouth and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
The incident was reported to have occurred at around 4pm on Thursday 19 March 2026, when a female teenager boarded the number 10 First bus in the area of Lodmoor Hill, travelling towards Dorchester.
During the journey, while seated on the upper deck, it is alleged that the victim was subjected to racial abuse by a woman. The suspect is described as white and believed to be in her late 20s or early 30s.
Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing, and officers are continuing to liaise with the victim as part of the investigation.
Police believe there were a number of other passengers on the bus at the time and are keen to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information that could assist their enquiries.
