A 47-year-old woman from Dorchester has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.



Armed police were sent to a home in Dorchester after a man was reportedly attacked and left with puncture wounds to his back and a cut to his nose.

Officers attended an address in Whitfield Road, Dorchester, at around 2.30pm on Friday, February 13, following concerns for the welfare of a man.

The victim is said to have suffered puncture injuries to his back along with a laceration across his nose. His injuries have been described as not life-threatening. It is believed the suspect is known to him.

Two women have been arrested in connection with the incident and remain in custody while enquiries continue.

A 47-year-old Dorchester woman has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder. A second woman, aged 39 and also from Dorchester, has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “We received a report at 2.55pm on Friday, February 13, 2026, of a man who had been assaulted in Whitfield Road in Dorchester.

“It was reported that the man had received puncture wounds to his back and a laceration across his nose. The injuries are not life threatening, and it is believed that the offender is known to the victim.

“Two women have been arrested in relation to the incident and detectives are carrying out enquiries.

“A 47-year-old woman from Dorchester has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.

“A 39-year-old woman from Dorchester has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

“Both women remain in custody at this time.”

Officers remain in the area as the investigation progresses.
