Police Appeal After Staff Member Injured During Attempted Theft in Poole
Police are appealing for information following an attempted theft at a Co-op store in Poole that left a staff member with minor injuries.
At around 4pm on Monday 15 December 2025, a man entered the Co-op on Wareham Road and attempted to steal alcohol. A member of staff intervened, during which they were pushed into a metal door.
The employee sustained minor injuries but did not require medical treatment.
Jared Braid, of East Dorset police, said: “We have been continuing to make efforts to identify the man involved, but this has so far been unsuccessful.
“I am now issuing an image of a man I would like to identify and would ask anyone who recognises him to please come forward.”
Officers are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or who recognises the man in the image to get in touch.
