A second stabbing in the space of weeks has raised fresh concerns in Weymouth, after police launched an attempted murder investigation following a serious early-morning incident.

The latest case follows a previous assault in the town, where a 19-year-old man was reportedly stabbed on a Thursday evening—prompting an earlier police investigation and increased patrols.

Early-hours attack

Emergency services were called in the early hours of this morning after reports of a disturbance on Queensland Road.

Officers were alerted to a fight at around 2.30am, with a 26-year-old man later found to have suffered a stab wound. He was taken to hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment.

While his injuries are understood to be serious, they are not believed to be life-threatening at this stage.
